Troop 11 is proud to announce that Suhani Patni, has officially earned the distinction of being a female Eagle Scout after having successfully completed her journey to Eagle and having passed her Eagle Scout Board of Review.
Suhani Patni planned, designed, and led the construction of a lost and found shed for the MetroWest YMCA’s summer camp in Hopkinton, which serves approximately 600 children each year. Positioned next to the camp’s main office and in close proximity to the drop-off and pick-up area, the shed makes it easy for campers and parents to check for missing items quickly. Suhani coordinated a team of 20 volunteers, including fellow Scouts, friends, and community members, who collectively dedicated about 172 hours to bring the project to life. Under her leadership, the volunteers worked together through every stage of construction: preparing the site, assembling the frame, installing walls and a roof, and applying finishing touches such as painting.
Troop 11 is proud to announce that Bridget Mell has officially earned the distinction of being a female Eagle Scout after having successfully completed her journey to Eagle and having passed her Eagle Scout Board of Review.
Troop 11 is proud to announce that Sarah Brennan, one of the founding members of this Troop has officially earned the distinction of being a female Eagle Scout after having successfully completed her journey to Eagle and having passed her Eagle Scout Board of Review.
She planned, developed, and gave leadership to others in a service project. Sarah’s project was to plan, design and install a bed of daffodils at the base of each of the 6 cemeteries in the Town of Hopkinton. Each bed was surrounded by a border of cobblestones, and had a piece of slate at the foot of each flag pole. These beds of daffodils were planted to honor our veterans. The materials for this project were generously donated by YourSpace Landscape Design and Steven Pepe, and the mulch was generously donated by McIntyre Loam. Sarah’s project took 39 people approximately 306 hours to complete. Congrats, Sarah, on this amazing achievement!
Troop 11 is proud to announce that Ellora Hoyt, one of the founding members of this Troop has officially earned the distinction of being part of the first inaugural class of female Eagle Scouts after having successfully completed her journey to Eagle and having passed her Eagle Scout Board of Review.
Ellora enlisted the help of her fellow Scouts and other volunteers to complete her Eagle Scout Project: building and installing almost 20 bird boxes across Hopkinton that would help to improve and increase the native Eastern Bluebird population. This project took over 145 hours of time by many scouts and volunteers. Already, Ellora has received feedback from residents near the bird boxes that they have seen bluebirds for the first time in many years, since the installation of these boxes. Congratulations Ellora, on this incredible accomplishment!!
